Making Windana Cottages our base allowed us to fully enjoy all that Hawker has to offer as a family. The scenic drives and hikes in the northern Flinders were absolutely stunning, and coming back to the cozy and well-equipped cottage after a long day of exploring was a treat. Our children, aged 2 and 5, had a great time spotting wildlife right from the doorstep and waking up to the beautiful view of the Flinders Ranges every morning. It was truly a memorable and enjoyable family experience.
For dads, it would be great to have a small playground or play area for the children.

Two adjoining cabins with covered area, tables/chairs, bbq. Spectacular views, airconditioned cabins, plenty of hot water. Guest laundry, nearby clothesline. Short drive to town, ate at hotel. Half hour drive to Rawnsley Station, hour to Wilpena Pound. Comfortable stay, would return.

We got great value for our money at Windana Cottages. The room was cozy and well-equipped, with comfortable beds, a great shower, and all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, offering beautiful views and tranquility while still being close to the town. The staff treated us warmly and provided clear instructions for our stay.
The breakfast menu could use some improvement, perhaps by offering a wider variety of options.

loved windana cottages! super clean and cozy. the location is awesome – close to shops and surrounded by beautiful scenery. got lots of local tips from the hosts - which was a bonus. they were so helpful and had the air-con on before we arrived - so nice! definitely recommend their service.
